Acts 20:29-30, NET
I know that after I am gone fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. Even from among your own group men will arise, teaching perversions of the truth to draw the disciples away after them.

Pray for spiritual discernment and wisdom for members of Africa’s new churches as they deal with opposition from within and from outside their ranks.

Rwandans working in Morocco

by PD

“Serving others in the pastoral ministry means I’m available to serve God, regardless of the place and circumstances. It is in this context that I was sent to Morocco with the Evangelical Church in Morocco (EEAM). I was not expecting to be a pastor in a country like Morocco, a Muslim country with no direct relations with Rwanda. However, God prepared me. I studied Arabic and received my master’s degree in Islam and Christian-Muslim relations in Kenya.”
The Rwandan pastor Daniel was sharing with believers at a conference. He continued, “Morocco is a predominantly Muslim country with a population of over 35 million inhabitants; 98.7 percent are Muslims, and 1.1 percent are Christian. Although the Moroccan constitution provides for freedom of religion, in practice the government limits this right. Announcing the good news to Moroccans is against the law. Moroccan believers cannot practice their faith in public.”
“Like so many other churches the Evangelical Church in Morocco (EEAM) consists mainly of foreigners. The church lives on the margins of Moroccan society. After two years of observation and gaining experience, we hope that the next two years will open many doors to leading Moroccan Muslims to our Lord, Jesus Christ.”

Pray that through the witness of Pastor Daniel his family and church, that many Moroccan Muslims will follow the living Lord. Pray for God’s guidance and protection in this outreach.
