1 Timothy 1:5, NKJV
Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith...

Pray for Christ’s servants this coming year to have pure hearts and sincere, life-changing faith.

Project Crescent

by LR

The widow in New York City took a deep breath as she brewed tea. A ministry leader with her church, she led a discussion group about grief. She had also come to know a Muslim woman, and had invited her over to this meeting. There was a knock on the door, and the widow opened the door to her burka-clad friend. The widow greeted the Muslim with a smile and an earnest desire to love her. Having just attended Project Crescent’s “Without Borders,” she felt well equipped to have a meaningful and respectful relationship with Muslim women.
Project Crescent is equipping Christian women to see Muslim women through the eyes of Christ instead of through the distorted lenses of news headlines. Their training conferences mobilize women who follow Christ to become bold ambassadors of His love to Muslims in their own cities. Muslim Background Believers (MBBs) give women insight into the Islamic faith and cultural views on women. They inspire and equip women looking for new ways to engage with the Muslim world here and abroad. The goal is for authentic relationships to spring up that will open doors for Christ’s followers to share the Word of God.
Their latest conference “Without Borders” was in New York City on August 5-6. Women learned to move past stereotypes and anxieties in order to have inter-faith dialogue with Muslim women.

Pray for lasting fruit from these conferences. Pray for future breakthroughs in the Muslim world as people have contact with those who love Jesus.
