Micah 7:18
Who is a God like thee, who pardons iniquity and passes over the rebellious act of the remnant of His possession? He does not retain His anger forever because He delights in unchanging love.

Pray that the Pasi people will eagerly embrace the God who pardons all their sins.

Pasi People

by KC

How many of you would like to climb a tall palm tree? For those of you who like an exciting, but dangerous challenge, this would be the life! But for many of the Pasi people of India, climbing palm trees to tap into them and gather liquid is something they have to do. Those who are afraid of heights simply must get used to it.
What do they do with the palm liquid once they harvest it? They distill it into a home-brewed alcohol which they either sell or drink. Many of these people struggle with alcoholism, and they have a bad reputation for stealing. Marital infidelity is not considered to be a problem for many in this caste, and babies are often born out of wedlock.
One of the tragic things about the caste system is it locks some people into destructive lifestyles that harm everyone. Stealing and producing hard liquor are not activities that benefit any community, but this is what they do.
God is good all the time! He is in the business of taking broken, self-destructive communities and transforming them. Those who chose to follow Christ have the opportunity to be transformed into his likeness. But first someone must go to them.
