Ephesians 2:6, NLT
For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus.

Pray for this verse to become reality to thousands of Libyan Arabs who need to be united with Christ.

Libyan Arabs in Libya

by KC

How many of you pray when you see things in the news? I hope you do!
Traditionally, we have thought of Libyan Arabs as simply being Arabs from the nation state we call Libya. However, the situation is much more complicated than that, as you will see as you pray through this prayer guide for Libya. Arabs tend to be divided by clans and tribes, not by nation states. For that reason, we will be praying for some of the key tribes and clans this month. Today we are praying in general for “Libyan Arabs,” and tomorrow we will pray for the other major Arab group in this nation made up of a confusing mix of Berbers, Bedouins, Arabs, and immigrants.
One of the central things that we need to address in prayer is identity. No matter what people identify with, their identity is faulty if it does not center on the true Lord of the Universe. Though some Libyan Arabs are somewhat secularized, all identify to some degree with Sunni Islam, a religion that provides a faulty view of the Lord of the Universe. As a result you will be praying for peoples who are fighting one another, each one believing that this same God is on their side.
