Isaiah 55:9, NET
For just as the sky is higher than the earth, so my deeds are superior to your deeds and my plans superior to your plans.

Pray that the Dosadh people will see the greatness of God. Pray that he will lift these downtrodden people up!

Dosadh People

by KC

You can’t sink much lower by Hindu standards than earning your living by taking insects off the backs of other people’s cattle or by selling cow dung. Some Dosadh people collect forest produce or cut wood for others. Many collect alms. One can identify Dosadh beggars because they are the ones who carry two idols. One idol is of the Hindu goddess Sitala and the other is of Lakshmi, the goddess of prosperity. This people group is anything but prosperous, and you wonder why they haven’t given up on this popular goddess who obviously isn’t helping them.
The Dosadh people worship the most sinister of the Hindu gods. One of them is a snake goddess, another is a four-armed demon that swallows the sun and the moon during eclipses. They make offerings of pigs and alcohol to one of their other gods.
However, when a people group sinks to a low point, they are often willing to look up. The Dosadh people desperately need to seek and find the only God who can take them higher.

Pray for the Dosadh people to find their way to Christ. Pray that as they discover and worship the true God of heaven, they will abandon all other gods. Pray for their communities to thrive spiritually and economically. Pray for a disciple making movement to emerge among them.
