Ps 27:1, NLT
The LORD is my light and my salvation--so why should I be afraid? The LORD is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?

Pray that the Chib Rajputs will make the Lord their salvation rather than physical and military power. Pray that Jesus will become their foundation and their identity.

Chib Rajputs

by JS

Physical and military power: that is what the Chib Rajputs are about. Like the Awan Rajputs we prayed for yesterday, they are part of the warrior Rajput community. Whether they are Hindu or Muslim, they view the military as the best career for their men. Their spirit for adventure has often taken them out of their own country to engage in war. Most live in the northern parts of India and Pakistan, especially in Kashmir. As a reward for their service to the British, the Chibs received the honorary title of Raja during the colonial rule of Great Britain. A Chib Rajput is considered a person from a very respected clan. The Chib are mostly a Kashmiri community, and today they are still very involved in Kashmir where many altercations arise between India and Pakistan.
Whether Hindu or Muslim, the Chib Rajputs need to hear the gospel message, which is readily available in many forms in the various languages that they speak. “But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?” (Romans 10:14, NLT). And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent?

Pray that the Lord of the Harvest will send out his harvesters to the Chib. Pray that these proud people will have ears to hear when the gospel is proclaimed.
