John 13:34
A new commandment I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.

Jesus really knew how to set the bar high! Love one another like He loved us? How can anyone love us like the Lord? We know from later verses that this can be done, but only with the power of the Holy Spirit, the “counselor” (14:17) that came on the day of Pentecost. When you think about it, only the true, devoted, unconditional love of the Lord can draw men to Him. As I Corinthians 13 points out, we can do all the right things, but without the love, it will be meaningless. The shamanistic people groups have experienced religion, but they haven’t experienced the love of the One True God.

Pray that the Holy Spirit will give you the love that will draw the unreached to Himself.

Wiconi International

by JS

“I [John] looked and behold, a great multitude, which no one could count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the lamb…”(Rev.7:9).
Richard and Katherine Twiss, co-founders of Wiconi International, believe that Native Americans have a unique ability to share Christ in new and meaningful ways all over the world. First Nations people (aka, Native Americans) in the US and Canada are being used to impact tribes and nations in the spirit of Jesus as they sing, dance and drum in their native regalia. They share their culture and tell of Jesus, the Waymaker, who is the source of their confidence and hope and of the abundant life. Twiss leads teams comprised of Native Americans from diverse tribes and churches, but who are united in their desire to serve internationally as bridge builders for sharing Christ. Wiconi teams have participated in native cultural outreaches to China, Tibet, Switzerland, France, Germany, New Zealand, Argentina, Australia, Pakistan, Bolivia, Peru, and even the Winter Olympics. Everywhere audiences have been fascinated and have warmly welcomed them. Wiconi teams have seen many come to Christ during their presentations. There was an immediate bond between the indigenous peoples and the First Nations delegation in China’s Yunnan Province, which has China’s highest percentage of tribal groups.
