2 Corinthians 10:14-16
For we did get as far as you with the gospel of Christ…. Our hope is that, as your faith continues to grow, our area of activity among you will greatly expand, so that we can preach the gospel in the regions beyond you.

Was the apostle Paul too proud to preach the gospel where it had already been proclaimed? No, that was not the issue. He simply wanted to make the best use of his life and spend his energies in planting the church where it had not yet been established. In today’s world, it is important that someone gives priority to those who do not yet have a gospel witness. That is why we need networks like SEALINK that focus on the unreached people groups.

Pray that the Lord will use SEALINK to reach those in Southeast Asia who are currently beyond the gospel.

The 11 countries of Southeast Asia vary widely in ethnicity and religion, and include myriads of people. There are 800 unreached or least reached people groups in this region. Five hundred of these include more than 10,000 people, and over 200 of them have at least 100,000 people. Who will reach out to them with the gospel of Jesus Christ? Many of these groups live under significant legal, religious and social barriers which prevent them from hearing how Jesus can change their lives.

The SEALINK mission network was created in 2002 to mobilize pastors, missionaries and other believers to organize and not duplicate efforts to reach the unreached people groups. The vision is “a transformational church planting movement among all the peoples of SE Asia so those peoples will then join us in worshipping Christ and fulfilling the Great Commission.” It is a huge task, but after yearly meetings that report of SEALINK’s efforts to connect people, churches, organizations, and resources together, it is evident that the network of peoples and agencies is effective.

One by-product of this effort is the creation of a consensus model where all voices are given equal weight. Their standard is “Submit yourselves to one another out of reverence for Christ” (Eph. 5:21).
