This prophetic word by Joel reminds us that the Hindu peoples, who commonly worship many false gods, will need to call on His Name to be saved. From the rest of Scripture, we know that this will happen. His wonders will be of such a nature that there will be no doubt that He does not belong on the same “god shelf” as all the others.
Pray that God will reveal Himself to the Hindu peoples who live near the Ganges River in such a way that they will follow Christ alone.

In July, 2007, Tiwari handed over the leadership of YWAM’s Varanasi work to three younger leaders. He comments, “Every day God is changing this city into His image. We can see the difference now. God is softening the ground for His glory.” Though much of his work is still in Varanasi, he has also done much work in rural Uttar Pradesh. Working with YWAM, Tiwari has helped their work in 70 villages.
Tiwari has a special burden to reach the Bhojpuri people (see day 6). This is one of Uttar Pradesh’s largest and most influential people groups. The Bhojpuris are not only influential in rural areas, but also in the cities. They have their own dialect of Hindi, and some of India’s most popular movies are in that dialect. If Bhojpuri speakers would embrace Christ, they could influence all of Hindu north India.
Narendra also has a spiritual burden for his family, especially his father, who continues to serve Hindu communities as a guru and priest.

Pray for a family-wide movement to Christ among the extended Tiwari family that will affect many segments of Hindu society for the Kingdom of God. Pray for God’s physical and spiritual protection for Narendra as he works throughout this strongly Hindu part of northern India.-KC
