At last, the deceiver will be put away, and prevented from leading the nations astray! But the damage is already done. Satan will get his due, but there will be billions there who will be deceived. It will be very easy for people, using human reasoning, to calculate that they are better off in this world without Christ. Why face persecution at the hands of your Hindu neighbors? But in the end, human reasoning and satanic deception will land the lost in hell.
Pray that God will raise up the right people to go to the privileged Lala people so that they can hear that He is worth far more than anything this world has to offer.
“That’s lala. Very lala, really.” You might well hear that comment in north India in regards to a television program or news of a business venture. In general it refers to wealthy people and their families.
Though it is a gross stereotype, it does bear a modicum of truth. The Lala community of India is often made up of business owners or real estate traders who tend to be financially successful. They are also characterized as having their own accountants to handle their finances and domestic servants to handle their households. Interestingly, much of this reputation is based on attitude and behavior. As one observer put it, even members of the lower castes can pass for a Lala if they adopt the appropriate opinions, actions and attitudes.
Like people groups from all over the world, the Lalas are enamored with riches. They tend to find their identity in possessions and status. This dangerous but very human character trait can be seen in every modern, product-based culture. Unfortunately, it creates a sense of false security (trusting in temporal things), and distracts attention from eternal matters.Learn more at joshuaproject.net
Pray for the Lalas to be set free from their material focus and have their eyes open to the things of Christ. Ask Him to show them their sin and their need for a Savior to rescue them from an eternity apart from Him. Pray for the Lalas to become known as a people who, in both attitude and behavior, seek after the riches of Christ’s Kingdom.-CL
