Genesis 1:28
God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it.”

The mandate to fill the earth and subdue it has clear parallels to the Great Commission. As we go forth in His Name, we are trying to fulfill this vision of seeing worshipers who worship in spirit and in truth, giving glory to God in every time-zone on this planet, among every nation, tribe and people. The end result is that at any given time on this planet, praises to God are going forth! While in one time zone a session of praise and worship is coming to a close, in another it is just getting started. Built into the solar system itself is all the technology required for the entire earth to pray and worship their creator without ceasing. Truly our God is an awesome God!

Pray that the Kuravan people will give glory and worship to God, the King of the Earth.

Kuravan People in Sri Lanka

by KC

Squawk! Years ago, someone let a couple of domesticated parrots go free here in Pasadena, CA, and today there are hundreds of them. Periodically, you hear the sound of them flying overhead, often in large numbers.

If these parrots were set free in India or Sri Lanka, the Kuravan people would catch them and put them to work. Some of them work as fortune-tellers, and they somehow use parrots in their attempts to predict people’s future. However, not all of the Kuravan people tell fortunes. Most of them make and sell household items out of bamboo and palm leaves or hunt for food. They hunt and eat wild birds, cats and pigs. They sell pig meat to their neighbors. As a tribal people, they live a simple life, and much of their time is spent finding food. According to the Joshua Project web site, out of a total population of 471,000, 1,300 live in Sri Lanka, and the rest live primarily in southern India. Like most tribes, they have their own set of spiritual beliefs, but they are classified as Hindus in India.
Their language is spoken, not written, so it would be best to use oral methods to take them the gospel message.

Pray for the JESUS Film and gospel messages to be recorded for the Kuravan people. Pray that by using these tools, the Word of God will be distributed far and wide among them, both in India and Sri Lanka.
