God left nothing that is not subject to Him (Jesus). That is the goal, the way things will be, both in our own lives and in the whole world when Jesus returns to earth. Yet at present, we do not see everything subject to Him. That is the situation now. Our task, then, is to move from the present situation to the goal of extending His Kingdom. Our work is to proclaim the message of Christ so that some from every nation are persuaded to become His disciples and responsible members of His Church. In this way many who are not yet subject to Him will voluntarily bow the knee before the day He returns to reign uncontested.
Pray that King Jesus will soon reign over the nations in power and glory.
In the hills of southern India a farmer watched his herd of cows, some of which could barely stand. A medicine man arrived. “Can you heal my cows?” asked the farmer, a man of the Konda Reddi people group. “I will try,” said the medicine man. The medicine man chanted for a long time, but nothing happened. Later he gave the cows herbal remedies, but the cows didn’t seem to get any better. Later the farmer went to the village Hindu temple and prayed to various gods, but the cows still didn’t get better.
The Konda Reddis are farmers and herders living in India’s state of Andhra Pradesh. They live in a land of hills and forests. Some members of this people group still depend on hunting as a source of food. Unlike many mainstream Hindu people groups in India, the Konda Reddi eat meat. This people group lives on a reservation assigned to them by the government of India. Most Konda Reddis are Hindus, and there are very few followers of Jesus Christ among them.
