Proverbs 4:6
"Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you."

One of the best things about being a follower of Christ is that you have access to His wisdom and guidance through the Holy Spirit. Most religions have some kind of wisdom literature, but none of the others lead the reader to Christ, the only redeemer of mankind. Shouldn’t we be more than eager to share this true wisdom with the unreached nations?

Pray that the Lord will give us the willingness to pray for the nations to inherit and embrace the wisdom of God’s Word.

(Continued from yesterday)

In 1900, Rowland and two missionaries again set out for Africa, just six years after his first trip. Now he was married to Helen, who stayed home in Canada with their two small girls. Thanks to the introduction of quinine, a medicine used to treat malaria, going to the interior of Africa no longer meant a likely death sentence.

The years rolled by and the work of the Sudan Interior Mission grew. In 1915, Rowland Bingham and a companion spent six months visiting the eight Sudan Interior Missions stations, covering hundreds of miles on foot or on bicycles under the harsh African sun.

Again, in October 1929, Rowland Bingham along with 21 missionaries sailed for Africa. His wife would continue to publish The Evangelical Christian, the magazine he had started. In Jos, Nigeria, West Africa, he visited the SIM Niger Press, which turned out portions of the Bible in 35 languages, one of the fastest ways to spread the gospel in areas where missionaries were unwelcome.

While meeting with leaders of missionary societies on how to penetrate the northern Nigerian provinces, Rowland said, “Unless something very definite is decided here, I am going to Kano City, Nigeria. There I will stand in the marketplace and preach the gospel to the people. I will probably be imprisoned, but something needs to be done to draw attention to the fact there is no religious liberty in that area.”-AL (Continued tomorrow)

Pray for God to open the door for religious liberty in the closed parts of Nigeria.
