Luke 24:5b-6a
Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; He has risen!

What comforting words from the angels! The Lord has risen! Can anyone else make such a claim apart of Jesus, the Risen Christ? No one has ever risen from the dead except from the command of our Lord. Upon hearing this good news from the angels, the women ran to tell others. Shouldn’t we be just as excited about telling the nations about the only One who has power over death?

Pray for a renewed boldness this Easter morning, to go and tell of His resurrection victory.

Japanese People in Paris

by WK

Hiideo came to Paris from Japan to study art. In the modern art museum he saw nothing but emptiness. The paintings on the wall looked as though someone had thrown buckets of randomly chosen paint onto the canvas. Hideo shook his head and walked out the door. Several blocks away he entered a Catholic church and tried to understand the rituals being performed. Once again he found emptiness.

For over a hundred years Japanese students have gone to Paris to study Western culture. Some of them have even settled in that city or other parts of France. Most of those students haven’t found the meaning for which they were looking. That’s because they haven’t realized life’s meaning can only be found in a relationship with Jesus Christ. Most Japanese living in or visiting Paris are Buddhists. Few of them understand what it means to put their faith in Jesus Christ. There are almost no true followers of Christ among the Japanese in Paris.
