Proverbs 16:25
There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.

Even with access to God’s Word, it is very easy to stray from His instructions. Our ways are not His ways, and we can easily get side-tracked. Yet we have no excuse since we have God’s Word, the Bible. What about those who do not? Don’t they have the right to know?

Pray for the JESUS Film to penetrate many remote Fulbe communities during this decade.

JESUS Film Work in West Africa

by JS

Imagine visiting remote nomadic villages, sitting with a king, visiting the center of voodoo, and being restricted to stay inside after 10:00 pm because of a voodoo worship ceremony. This is Benin, an impoverished West African nation where hundreds of years ago its inhabitant were marched down dusty paths to the ocean where they were loaded on slave ships bound for the United States.
Candra and John Penny led a team of nine a year ago on a trip called Benin Beginnings by the JESUS Film Mission Trips. It was the premier showing of the film in two newly recorded languages. Many nomadic Fulbe people watched the film. The team saw over 19 new church fellowships planted after the showings of the film in local ethnic languages. The nine team members helped their African brothers and sisters in Christ to set-up and witness God’s Word going out in the heart languages or mother tongues of remote villages, as well as in the dusty sprawling city back-roads of Parakou. Literally thousands of people in central Benin came to pray, seeking God’s forgiveness and mercy with open hearts to follow Jesus.

Pray for these new believers to grow and be nurtured by local believers. Pray for God to tear down Satan’s strongholds established through the practice of voodoo and replace it with an unshakable faith in Christ.
