Psalms 62:5-6a
Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation…

Muslims call their religion “the religion of peace.” There is an inner peace that all of us lack in our souls. Christ offers us that peace. It is not the kind of peace that the world offers. He offers the kind of peace that only comes from knowing that the Creator of the Universe is in control of our lives, no matter what the circumstances. He is inviting us to be part of His Kingdom. Our hope comes from God alone, our rock and salvation. At this time there are 10,000 unreached people groups throughout the world that have no chance to experience this kind of peace.

Pray that the nations will come to the Father, and that they will experience peace in their souls that only can come from a relationship with Christ.

Bhils of Pakistan

by PE

Nahjid slept heavily with the rain drumming on the corrugated roof. It had been raining for days, and the Indus River near his home in the Tharparker district of Sindh Province swelled suddenly with the mountain runoff. The edge of the river crept swiftly in the night toward Nahjid’s family home and those of his neighbors. Nahjid awoke to a great creaking noise, then the collapse of the boards that comprised his home. Water was everywhere and his wife and children were screaming in terror. He cried out, but he did not know who to cry out to. Allah? One of the Hindu gods? Who would hear him? Who would help?
The Tharparker District is the home to 370,000 Bhil people. Historically tribal warriors from the deep forests, they are known for their expertise in guerilla warfare. Today they rely on water collection, traditional weaving, snake handling, and whatever other work they can find.
The entire Bible is available for the Bhils in their language. Though some Bhils from a Hindu or animistic background have embraced Christ, there are powerful spiritual barriers to acceptance of His saving grace among Bhil Muslims, most of whom live in Pakistan. Jesus waits to be called into their lives and hearts. Who will take Jesus to them?
