Deuteronomy 4:25, NLT
In the future, when you have children and grandchildren and have lived in the land a long time, do not corrupt yourselves by making idols of any kind. This is evil in the sight of the Lord your God and will arouse His anger.

By definition, corruption is about, “having or showing a willingness to act dishonestly in return for money or personal gain.” Idolatry at its roots comes from a desire for dishonest gain. Our gain should only come from what the Lord provides; He is Jehovah Jireh, the provider.

Pray for the Yadav people to understand that they can only have their needs met by the Lord, and looking to an idol is not much different than stealing or cheating.—KC

Yadav (AKA, Ahir) People-Hindu

by KH

It is easy to identify a Yadav. He will tell you his first name, followed by his family name which is always “Yadav.” They live almost everywhere in India and in southern Nepal. Twenty-four million Yadav people have Hindi as their primary language, and there are many of them who live in Varanasi. Though most Yadavs do menial work, their association with cattle and dairy products gives them status and political power in a land where cows are regarded as sacred.
The Yadav have expertise in oral traditions and group singing about their Hindu gods: Vishnu, Krishna, and many others. Rural Yadavs are known to have faith in astrology and traditional healers rather than the services of doctors. The Yadav people believe that they are descendants of Krishna and have his quality of blood ancestry.
God’s children are also identified by blood – Jesus’ blood shed for all people. We must pray that oral and recording ministries will find these friendly people and connect them with God’s loving Son. He is still their unknown God!
There are no known Christians among the Yadav people group, and almost all of them are Hindus. The Joshua Project comments, “Most of the Yadav die never hearing the Name of Jesus once in a lifetime!”
