Isaiah 25:7-9
The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces. In that day they will say, "Surely this is our God; we trusted in Him, and He saved us."

This verse and, in fact, the entire Bible should be good news to peoples like the Konjo Pesisir who need hope. Isaiah here portrays the heavenly banquet in which men and women from every nation will rejoice in the goodness of God. Though Christ’s death has conquered the power of death for all who put their trust in Him, His return will banish the presence of death from the redeemed of every nation. How tenderly the Sovereign Lord will wipe away tears from faces upturned in joyful praise!

Pray that the Lord will guide us until we see Him face to face.

Konjo Pesisir People

What is our prayer for the 200,000 Konjo Pesisir people of southern Sulawesi Island? We pray for thousands of multiplying Konjo Pesisir house churches to come out of darkness into the brilliant light of Christ! The desire of present and future followers of Jesus is to see this people group rapidly reproduce as obedient worshipers of the living God.

No more fear, no turning back, total spiritual freedom—that would be the passionate wish of any one who knows them. Satan’s hold on these people is fierce.

They fear the loss of their homes, their lands, their families, evil spirits, and outsiders. All these fears continue to cripple any new believers. Satan incessantly whispers lies to the Konjo Pesisir as he preys upon their shame and deep wounds.

Twenty years ago Isa Al Masih (Jesus the Messiah) called one young Konjo Pesisir woman to be His apostle to her people. Persecution of every form has not stopped her from being faithful to this vision. Estimates of between 500 to 1,000 believers are now numbered among this unreached people group. Some 30 fellowships meet in numerous villages.

Pray for steadfastness of heart for the Konjo Pesisir believers. Pray for the rapid reproduction of disciples in the house fellowships led by healthy Konjo Pesisir leaders.-MA
