Throughout the world today, prisons are full of criminals, political dissidents, and those imprisoned for religious convictions. Without Christ we are all prisoners to sin, under the sentence of death. Christ came to bring life to all who call upon His Name. But how can they call on His Name unless they have heard? Why should they be condemned to death, when there is a Savior waiting for them to call on His Name? This is the reason for efforts to reach the world for Christ!
Pray today for those who are doubly imprisoned-both physically and spiritually. Pray for those attempting to bring light to these dark places.
How do you begin to reach 1.3 billion Muslims in the world today-about one-sixth of the world’s population? How do you broach the delicate subject of Jesus in such an environment where a word to the wrong person at the wrong time could mean arrest, torture, or even death? The answer has been with us for several years and has been readily used by radical Muslim extremists to spread their message of hate. It is YouTube.
The word “viral” today takes on a meaning totally unrelated to medicine. The digital media via web or DVD is one of the fastest ways to share Christ. SIM International workers are taking advantage of this program format to reach the vast number of Muslims in the world. This type of programming is especially effective with the busy urban dweller with questions about life. It utilizes the expertise of former Muslims who are now evangelists to present the gospel in a meaningful way, including answers to common Muslim objections to the gospel.
Actually, the gospel went viral long before the digital age. The day the Holy Spirit descended on a handful of believers in an upper room, the movement became known as “the way” and soon turned the world upside down.Learn more at joshuaproject.net
Pray for the Holy Spirit to descend anew on digital seekers when they hear and see the evidence that Jesus is love, and His sacrifice brings forgiveness of sins.
