Luke 24:26
Did not the Christ have to suffer these things and then enter His glory?

One of the things we so often forget is that before there is glory, there is often suffering. We know that, like Christ, many of His servants are suffering in places like North Korea and Saudi Arabia for their faith. In many cases throughout Church history the suffering of the saints has led to repentance and the extension of His Kingdom. You have heard it said that the blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church. So difficult, but so true in our fallen world!

Pray that the unreached will be reached through the suffering of the saints, and that God will be glorified.

Bihari Muslims of London

by PE

Knives slashed through the twilight mist of London and plunged into the body of Dr. Farooq. Assassins had found their marked man.
Only minutes ago he had donned his hat and started his evening walk, comfortable in the knowledge that MI6 and Scotland Security personnel were watching out for him. Fleeing the politics of Karachi, Pakistan, where some say he was embroiled in revolutionary activities that took thousands of lives, his residence and identity had been a closely guarded secret. It wasn’t as guarded as he thought. Dr. Farooq was the founder and leader of a mafia-style resistance in Karachi. Ironically it was his own Bihari gang members who took his life.
The Bihari Muslims are an Urdu-speaking minority in London. Seventy five percent of the Biharis are Hindu, and only 20 percent are Muslim. They are among the wealthiest of London’s minorities, yet the violence from their homeland continues to find a foothold in their new land.

Pray that the father of lies does not continue to deceive the Bihari Muslims in London. Pray that murder, fear, and other fruits of the evil one do not continue to plague them, but that they will find true sanctuary in Jesus. Pray for a true revolution in their hearts and an open door to the gospel of Christ, the Prince of Peace. Ask the Lord for Christian workers to minister salvation to the Biharis and soften their hearts toward the true and living God.
