Man is nothing but a breath. His life lasts for just a short while like a passing shadow. Furthermore, other parts of Scripture, especially the first chapter of Romans, tell us of man’s evil desires and sinful nature. It causes God pain to see the unreached peoples who are in rebellion against Him? Yes, indeed! But because of His love, His righteousness, and His holy character, God pursues unbelievers so that they will not be condemned to an eternity without Him. He uses us to be His ambassadors on earth. Shouldn’t we be doing all we can to tell the unreached about Christ?
Ask the Lord how He wants you to pray for the unreached peoples.
The young Thai man hugged his girlfriend the moment she got off the plane from Thailand and stepped into the busy terminal at London’s Heathrow Airport. Getting permission for her to come to London had been a long and exhausting process which had taken several years. Many forms had to be filled out, and the girlfriend had to pay bribes to government officials in Thailand.
In recent years British authorities have made it more difficult for Thais to visit or live in Great Britain. They have done this because they have recently broken up several Thai prostitution rings operating inside the country. Many Thai young women have been lured to British cities like London and forced into prostitution.
Not all Thai people are in sexual bondage, but almost all are in spiritual bondage. There are very few Thai followers of Jesus Christ in London or Thailand. “To be Thai is to be Buddhist,” is a common saying among Thai people everywhere.
Ask God to break the hold that Buddhism has on the Thai people group. May the Thai realize Jesus Christ is the only true source of salvation. Pray for an end to prostitution and sexual slavery among the Thai of London and beyond. Ask God to lead a mission agency to reach out to Thai Buddhists in London.
