Romans 3:29
Is he not the God of Gentiles too?

The passage of Romans 3:21-29 is a glorious one, proclaiming that we are justified not by the outward performance of the works of the Law, but by an inward heart of faith in Jesus Christ. The path to becoming righteous in God’s sight is the same for all men—the gift of His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus (v.24). Meditate on this great truth today. The very God that we worship is the same God over the entire human race. He’s the God of Animists, Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Taoists, Buddhists, and even the less numerous Bahá’ís. They may not know it, but He is their God. How He longs to be their Savior, too! What a wonder it is that He has entrusted us with the gospel to share with them.

Pray that the Father will help us to see the unreached peoples as He does.

Bahá’ís in Houston

by GEC

The Bahá’ís in Houston do not qualify as an unreached people group, yet they are unreached. Many of them have heard about the gospel, but most of their numerical growth comes from people who are disillusioned with the so-called Christianity that they have known. That Christianity consists of rituals rather than a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Take Becky, for instance. She moved to Houston from Idaho to attend the university. Her roommate Janice, also from the United States, was already active in the Bahá’í faith. Becky visited the Bahá’í center in Houston at Janice’s invitation. She walked into a casual setting with warm, friendly people—a stark contrast to her formal Christian background. So far she has not decided to join the Bahá’ís, but she continues her search for spiritual truth.

Bahá’u’lláh founded the Bahá’í faith in the 19th century, claiming to be the latest of God’s prophets. According to bahai.org, “He taught the oneness of God, the oneness of the human family, and the oneness of religion…. and that, as foretold in all the sacred scriptures of the past, now is the time for humanity to live in unity.” There are many good moral teachings coming from the Bahá’í faith. But they lack the complete truth found in the Bible, and do not know how the seeker of truth can have a personal relationship with the One who gives life.

Pray that those who explore Bahá’í will continue searching for the truth. Pray that Jesus Christ, who is the Truth, will reveal Himself to those who honestly seek Him.
