Peter’s first sermon, after the empowering of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost, was based on Joel 2:28-32. According to Peter, this outpouring of the Spirit was the fulfillment of Joel’s prophecy—that the Holy Spirit would be poured out upon all people. Pray that many more Shawiya people will come to know Christ, and that they will let their light shine so brightly that their Muslim neighbors and family members will see a deep spiritual change.
