Daily Topic for December 11, 2010
It is interesting to note that the only ones who presented Jesus with gifts at His birth were these Gentile astrologers. Despite the spiritual beliefs that they had, many of which were probably not based in Scripture, God spoke to the wise men about the value of the One who was born in Bethlehem.
Pray that as we celebrate Christmas this year, we will think first of the value of the birth of Christ.
The commercial aspects of Christmas and gift-giving are widely practiced even in primarily non-Christian nations, while the actual reason for Christmas is often overlooked. Satellite TV offers such people an opportunity to hear about the reason for the season.
All year Channel North Africa’s (CNA) goal has been to share the miraculous birth of our Savior. The message CNA desires to communicate this month is to celebrate the birth of Christ and explain its significance. A CNA worker says, “It is easier to celebrate a birth and the image of a divine child than to offer tribute to a tortured victim on a cross, even if the death of Christ redeemed by his resurrection is at the heart of the Christian faith. One cannot exist without the other…. In other words, the wood of the manger in which the child of Bethlehem lay foreshadowed that of the cross.”
In the past, Channel North Africa (CNA) has been using Web TV to air its programs until the satellite TV equipment is fully operational. This month Channel North Africa (CNA) is meeting its goal set a year ago to be fully operational 24/7 on satellite TV across North Africa.
Pray that the implementation of the new site (cnasat.tv) will be attractive, effective, and popular with its target audience. Pray for the anointing of the Lord on the editing and production of CNA programs. Pray that God will be honored by their message and that it will bear fruit for His glory.
