When He came to earth, Jesus let in the light. He is the light of the world. Through the centuries, tyrannical governments like the current one in Iran have enforced darkness. However, they cannot hold back the light of the world!
Thank the Lord that His light will shine in every dark corner, and no effort of man can stop His will.
“Visionaries do not fight the darkness. They let in the light.” Visionaries are leading the way of sharing the gospel in Iran. They expect growth, radical discipleship, and cultures to change as people come to Christ. Elam Ministries shares many stories of the way God is reaching one person at a time through His divine appointments.
Fatima, a woman who had seen a Christian program on TV, was attracted to the teachings of Jesus, but she could find no book about him. She saw a woman reading one of the gospels, and she asked her about it. The woman replied, “If you would like it, it’s yours.” Fatima took it after the two exchanged phone numbers. Soon Elam graduates contacted her. After several private meetings, Fatima gave her life to Christ. At work Fatima heard a coworker talking about a dream she had about Jesus and her desire to know more. Fatima told her, “I can help you if you want to know Jesus, and I can get you a Bible.” Now she too is a believer in Christ.
Even the feared Revolutionary Guard has been touched. One guard was ordered to raid the home of a jailed “political suspect.” He found 15 New Testaments. He carefully bagged up 14 to turn in but kept one for himself. After reading it, he too became a believer.Learn more at joshuaproject.net
Pray for every new Iranian believer to share his/her new relationship in Christ with family, friends and coworkers.
