Psalms 12:8
"And the words of the Lord are flawless like silver refined in a furnace of clay, purified seven times."

Have you ever doubted God’s Word? Be honest, we all have. But it’s wonderful to know that even those hard to accept verses did not get there by accident. By faith, we can accept them as His thoughts, and thank Him for His truth. What about those who do not have access to God’s Word? Don’t they have a right to know what their Creator thinks? Today, many of the small tribes and nations of Central Asia lack not only His written Word, but even gospel recordings.

Pray for God to extend the work of groups like Global Recordings Network that are trying to get His Word to every tribe, tongue and nation, even the tiny ones.

Missionary Biography

One day in Turkey “by divine appointment,” as they said, they met their first Kazakh refugees. Naturally suspicious of strangers, the Kazakhs first responded to them because of an old book called Kazakh Exodus, which the Wilhelmsens had bought in a second-hand bookstore. The Kazakhs, were once a mighty people, heirs of Genghis Khan 39 generations before. By the 20th century they numbered eight million, wealthy in horses, sheep and camels, and owning vast grasslands in Soviet and Chinese Central Asia. They fought bravely when the new communist rulers took over their lands and beheaded their leaders, but in the end they fled south over deserts and mountains in search of freedom. One group of four thousand who began the trek were delayed in Pakistan, reaching Turkey three years later with 1,000 survivors. Whole caravans of camels, women and children as well as warriors died of exposure or were massacred by the Tibetans as they skirted their territory. This group had learned Urdu in Pakistan, which Kaare and Jean knew from India. So with Christ’s own compassion they consoled this exiled and embittered people; weeping with those who wept, hugging those who hurt, thus identifying themselves only as “lovers of Jesus” who cared and listened and desired the best for this hurting people.
