Naomi fully expected Ruth to return to her homeland, where idol worship was accepted and expected. She even encouraged her daughter-in-law to leave! Yet, Ruth had come to believe in Jehovah, the God Naomi worshiped. Through Naomi’s quiet faith, this outsider had come to faith in the one, true God. She didn’t want to go back to her old way of life-she had found something far better! Ruth represents the sincere seeker whose heart yearns for truth and reconciliation with the Living God. The Ahmadiyyas are noted for their missionary activities and their zeal for what they believe is right. Could it be that they have a spiritual hunger that will lead them to Jesus Christ?
Pray that God will open the spiritual eyes of the Ahmadiyyas so that they can see Jesus and His unmatchable righteousness.
Kalila gripped the hand of her daughter and whispered, “stay with me!” With that, the mother and daughter discreetly walked away from the sounds. The zealot’s bullhorn blasted demands to the town, gathered on a primary school playground. The Sunni Muslim zealot snarled, “The Ahmadiyya are not Muslim! They believe that Mohammad was not the last prophet and that Jesus was truly crucified on a cross!” Unseen spiritual forces churned and shrieked with fury at the name of Jesus. He continued, “Do not speak to the Ahmadiyyas, and do not sell them anything. Their mosques are not true Muslim mosques, so do not worship there.”
Kalila’s little girl collapsed into her arms when they reached their doorstep. “Mama, why do they hate us?” “Because we stress non-violence and tolerance and Jesus.” “Who is Jesus? Why did He die on the cross?” “I don’t know, sweetie. I don’t know.”Learn more at joshuaproject.net
Pray for the 100,000 Ahmadiyya Muslims who live in Bangladesh. They suffer for belief in the cross and don’t even know the reason for Christ’s death on the cross. They take the fury of the Evil One and don’t understand why. Pray that Jesus will reveal Himself to them through dreams and visions, and the spoken word of radio and satellite TV. Pray for a powerful sweep of the Spirit through Ahmadiyya communities so that many might understand that He died and rose again to take away the sins of the world.-PE
