Numbers 11:12
"Did I conceive all these people? Did I give them birth?"

Though this complaint to the Lord about his responsibility to the children of Israel may sound almost comical, it is a common feeling missionaries experience. Moses was overwhelmed with the responsibility and the burden. In one of their prayer letters, GRN staff note that “It’s hard work; it often involves difficult travel and living conditions.” In the flesh, it would be very easy for workers to consider the job un-do-able, and give up. But God is greater than any situation.

Pray for the Holy Spirit to refresh and encourage GRN staff in Bangladesh this month by adding to their numbers, just as He did for Moses (See tomorrow’s Bible portion).

Global Recordings Network (GRN) Work

How can a simple flipchart change someone’s life? Global Recordings Network (GRN) has produced several flipcharts that have proved very effective in helping children and pre-literate people groups to understand the works of Christ.

Language Recordings International (LRI), the GRN Bangladesh affiliate, has recorded the gospel message in 45 of the languages and dialects of that country. The materials have been utilized widely in local churches and mission groups in their evangelistic work.

Through the use of pictures, the “Good News” flip chart has helped children remember the stories of Jesus. One pastor in working with the Garo language group uses GRN’s hand wound cassette players and the “Look, Listen and Live” flipcharts in the villages with pre-literate people. Some of those early believers have now become evangelists themselves and are also using GRN materials in other villages!

B.C. (name changed) was a Hindu priest, but admitted he derived neither peace nor satisfaction from his religion. His Christian brother-in-law shared with him a little GRN booklet called “Good News.” This initiated his search for the truth that led him to accept Jesus as his savior. He was persecuted by his wife and his family, but he requests prayer that one day they will all come to Christ.

Pray that God’s Word, as presented through GRN materials, will not return void. Pray that GRN materials will spread far and wide. Pray that tens of thousands throughout Bangladesh will have the chance to accept or reject the works of Christ through GRN work.-JS
