Rev. 7:9
"After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people, and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands."

It is finished! In this scene John describes his vision of the final victory, when some from every people group will praise the Lord Jesus. This scene fulfills God’s promise in Genesis 12:3 that through Abraham and his descendants all other families of the earth would receive the spiritual blessing that came through Jesus Christ. There are many causes and interests to which we can commit our lives. But the vision of Christ’s global cause is one which is sure to succeed.

Pray that the work of YWAM in India will help speed the day when some from every nation that lives near the Ganges River will know of His glory.

YWAM Work in Northern India

“The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned” (Isaiah 9:2 NIV). The light is dawning among the people of the Ganges River region! For many years there were few believers and much spiritual darkness. The worship of spirits and the practice of witchcraft were commonplace. One organization bringing the light of the gospel to this dark region is Youth with a Mission, YWAM. Two couples, each with three children, have gone to the area. They speak the language of the local population and are living in very humble circumstances so that they can better reach the people.

The first effort made to reach these people was an Aradhana Yatra (worship trip) where prayer and intercession was made to combat the area’s spiritual darkness. It has paid off, and the fruit of the endeavor is 10 new house churches with about 100 seekers! The team has led 13 people in water baptism. One worker says, “We can see that the door for the gospel is open wide.”

Thank the Father for opening the hearts of these people to His light. Pray for more workers to come to the Ganges River region, for more financial support for the families serving there and for Bibles and literature to be widely available in the Hindi language.-JS
