Acts 4:10-11
"It is by the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but God raised from the dead...that [the man who was lame] stands before you completely healed.... Salvation is found in no one else."

In obedience Peter and John proclaimed the Lord’s salvation in Jerusalem. They were so bold that they were called before the religious council to defend their actions. What was their defense? Simply the Name of the Risen Lord Jesus Christ. Because Jesus was raised from the dead, Peter insisted, “There is salvation in no one else! There is no other Name by which we must be saved.” Without salvation in the Name of the risen Jesus, the unreached peoples of the world have no hope for eternity.

Pray for an understanding of what God revealed to Peter. Pray that the Holy Spirit will remind us of the reality of heaven and hell, and of the saving power of the gospel.

Friends International

“Dear Suzanne. My new friends from Friends International will help you when you come to England from Vietnam, just as they did for me. They met me at Heathrow Airport and helped me get from the airport to Nottingham. I might not have been able to find my way. They helped me so much, but what I really appreciated was that they introduced me to other international students and we have a fun time together! I have joined one of their Bible studies. I’m finding answers to questions I have always had about God. They are patient and do not feel my questions are foolish. I have a Vietnamese Bible and I’m starting to find real answers to problems through the teachings of Jesus. This is giving me peace. I plan to attend a church soon. You will be happy here, Suzanne.” The Vietnamese girl hit the send button, and her email message was soon in Suzanne’s in box in Hanoi.

Friends International is an Evangelical mission agency dedicated to the encouraging and equipping of U.K. churches to reach international students for Christ. They give priority to people groups that have the least opportunity to hear the gospel in their own countries. Their vision is to see that international students in the U.K. should have a Christian friend, give them the opportunity to respond to the message of Jesus Christ and return home with the desire and skills to spread the gospel in their own country.
