Isn’t it a joy and a privilege to belong to the One who created us? Whom else would we want to belong to and serve? Because He created us, we “belong” Him. He also claims us for His own by the right of redemption (Heb. 2:9). We who acknowledge Christ as Savior and Lord know we are not our own. We are “bought with a price” (I Cor. 6:20). Doesn’t that inspire you to want to share this good news with those who don’t yet know that they belong to the King of the Universe?
Pray that the Lord will burden our hearts for thousands of peoples still without a witness. Pray that the Holy Spirit will prepare the hearts of individuals in those people groups to hear and respond to His Word.
The black veiled teacher stood in the doorway, blocking the entrance of some of the children. “Go home, you heretics,” she sputtered. At that moment, their father was being denied access to the office where he went to tend to their family business. A clerk yelled at him, “Don’t you dare give me the traditional Muslim greeting! You are not Muslim.” The mother of the children stays at home, afraid to leave the Ahmadiyya ghetto where they live.
The “crimes” of this family are unspeakable to their Sunni Muslim neighbors. The Ahmadiyyas claim their leader is a prophet. They believe that jihad means to strive for a pure life to please Allah. Ahmadiyyas reject violence and terrorism for any reason, and most of all, their motto is, “Love everyone, hate no one.” For this they suffer hatred, denial of civil liberties, widespread discrimination and treatment as pariahs in Islamic Pakistan. Calling Ahmadiyya places of worship “mosques” is not allowed. Shunned and derided by those they consider their brothers, they suffer in silence.Learn more at joshuaproject.net
Pray that the veil will be lifted from Ahmadiyyas eyes and that they will learn of, understand, and accept the Prince of Peace who loves and died for them. Pray that they will receive revelation from the One and only true God, and that the many thousands of Ahmadiyya souls will recognize their need for Jesus Christ and find the salvation they so desperately seek.-PE
