The coming of the Messiah and his eternal Kingdom would be the ultimate fulfillment of the promise given to Abraham. The apostle Paul also echoed this passage when he wrote of his calling to “bring about the obedience of faith among all the Gentiles” (Rom. 1:5, NASB). God has given us the privilege of participating with him in bringing about the “obedience of the nations.” That is why the Great Commission is so explicit: Disciple all nations, teaching them to obey all that I have commanded (Matt. 28:19-20). We are literally commanded to disciple entire nations, and to instruct them as nations in obeying the teachings of Jesus.
Pray that every frontier people might surrender to the Lordship of Christ.

They supplement smithing with agricultural work. Taken together, the Kamis total over 50,000, about a third of whom are literate in Nepali. Many are bilingual, also speaking Hindi. The Kamis are also found in southern Sikkim, mostly in rural areas. In those areas, they engage in agriculture. Others serve as curers, who favor traditional medicines over the use of modern medicine.

Pray for the Christian Kamis to be more forthright in sharing their faith. Pray for more openness to modern medicine and that such openness will lead to increased contacts with Christian physicians and health care providers. Pray for increased literacy and access to Scripture in their languages; and for The JESUS Film to be available and shown in their communities. Pray for churches to adopt the Kamis. Pray that they forsake idolatry, and for Satan’s grip on them to fail.-TP
