Rev. 11:15
"The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: 'The kingdom of this world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ, and He will reign for ever and ever'"

We live in a world in rebellion against its Creator. From the time of the fall of Adam and Eve, God’s plan has been to quell the rebellion and once again establish His authority over all the earth. Jesus Himself said that the gates of hell will not be able to withstand this reconquest by His Church. Yet there are still about 10,000 people groups without church communities to proclaim and demonstrate Christ’s kingdom within these societies. This is the challenge before us.

Pray that churches, students, and mission agencies will join hearts and hands as never before to see Christ’s kingdom advance among the nations.

Manipuri People of India

God deeply loves the Manipuri people of Manipur, an Indian state on the eastern border of Myanmar. Perhaps this is why He has allowed a window of opportunity for business to extend the gospel to the Manipuri people.

While there is an impressive representation of Christianity in Manipur, as much as a third of the population, the remaining two-thirds of the people in Manipur, the Manipuri majority, are extremely resistant to change in their Hindu and Muslim beliefs.

Yet, a window in the culture has opened through the business world in the importation of goods. The Manipuri people are obsessed with anything foreign. They want glitzy T-shirts, electronic goods, jeans with holes, and food delicacies from beyond their borders. Their customs and traditions are loosening and they are eager to embrace the goods of the world.

Pray that God will raise up faithful believers who will put Christ ahead of profits and seize the opportunity to share the gospel with these people who have been staunchly resistant. Pray that they will make it clear to the Manipuri people that spiritual matters are far more important than the world’s trinkets. May God reveal Himself in a glorious way and may their Christian countrymen be bold, yet loving and sensitive in their outreach in Manipur.-PE
