The “backbone” of the Bible-God’s passion for redeeming men from all nations-continues to bring into perspective all of His acts, including those of righteous judgment. In Acts 17:26-27 Paul declared, “From one man, He made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth. And He determined the times set for them and the exact place where they should live. God did this so that men would seek Him and perhaps reach out for Him and find Him.” Here, then, is the explanation of the linguistic and ethnic “scattering” that began at Babel. By dividing mankind into sub-groups, God has fostered a search for truth and created avenues through which the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ may be proclaimed.
Praise God for His infinite wisdom!
“There’s a new gang in the neighborhood in old Paree.” It sounds like words to a song that might spill out from a French nightclub or coffee house rather than whispers among the intelligence community under the newly elected French President Nicolas Sarkozy.
Ayman Zawahiri of Al Qaeda infamy, announced a new branch of the organization, called Maghrebi, located in Algeria, but with a clear rifle sight on France. There are already estimated to be about 5,000 Al Qaeda sympathizers in France, 500 of whom are devoted jihadists. The anger of France’s Muslim Arab population is intensifying because their new president has a get-tough attitude toward the rioters who disrupted France in 2005, and he is much more sympathetic to Israel than past presidents. Weapons of war might hold off a jihadist for a day, but salvation will place peace in his heart forever.Learn more at joshuaproject.net
Pray to bind the hold of the evil one on these angry, deceived people, lied to by their leaders, promised a paradise that does not exist for them outside of Jesus. Pray that they will find truth and salvation before they do something that they will regret for eternity. Pray that the Holy Spirit will reveal Jesus through dreams and visions, Bible broadcasts and personal witness.-PE
