Daniel’s fourth chapter is a kind of “celebrity tract” in which the greatest king of his day tells how God broke his pride and stubbornness and how in simple childlike surrender he came to acknowledge the Most High God as his Sovereign. Nebuchadnezzar describes his conversion in these terms, “I raised my eyes toward heaven, and my reason returned to me and I blessed the Most High…” When we are tempted to believe that any individual, any people, or any nation is beyond the saving power of God, we should be reminded that “the king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord; He directs it like a watercourse wherever He pleases.”
Father, give us the faith to trust You for mighty miracles in the hearts of men and nations.
A believing farming family packed up their belongings and their farming tools to live among Muslims as neighbors and friends. Another family will begin their work among another Muslim people group. What caused this? It started with a training session for 70 church leaders.
The results from this series of training sessions could advance the Kingdom of God to Muslim peoples who have never heard that Jesus holds the key to eternal salvation. During another series of training sessions, church leaders organized five church planting teams under the leadership of local elders. These team leaders will receive monthly coaching on how to plant house churches in an area where 3,500,000 people live. There is only one known house church among Muslims there. There are dozens of unreached people groups in this region who need the gospel. A few dozen heads of local Christian schools had been trained to share the good news.Learn more at joshuaproject.net
Pray that these five church planting teams will last and see fruit coming out of their efforts. Pray that all of them will practice what they have learned. Some of the believers who have received training are already reaching out to Muslims and have seen some fruit. Pray that all of these efforts will result in strong fellowships among Muslim people groups. Pray that these efforts will bear good fruit for years to come. Pray that Satan’s efforts to destroy this work will be thwarted.-KC
