We live in a world in rebellion against its Creator. From the time of the fall of Adam and Eve, God’s plan has been to quell the rebellion and once again establish His authority over all the earth. Jesus Himself said that the gates of hell will not be able to withstand this reconquest by His Church. Yet there are still about 10,000 people groups without church communities to proclaim and demonstrate Christ’s kingdom within these societies. This is the challenge before us.
Pray that churches, students, and mission agencies will join hearts and hands as never before to see Christ’s kingdom advance among the nations.
“You may marry,” the shaman declared, looking at the young couple’s faces for a reaction. He had killed a chicken and examined the lines on its liver. According to his prediction, the bride and groom would have the blessing of the spirits, which the Na people feel obligated to appease. Although they claim to follow Tibetan Buddhism, the Nas practice Animistic religion in their daily lives.
There is a small number of Na people, but God loves each one. It is just as important to reveal God’s character to them as it is to any larger group of unbelievers. There are no known Christians among them, and there has been little witness to them.
The Na people live in several villages of the Taksing Circle in Arunachal Pradesh, northeastern India. This remote area is cold all year. They speak the Na language in their villages, and speak Hindi when they communicate with the outside world. You can help reach these “unreached.” You can help evangelize these “unevangelized.” How? Through prayer! Let us remember these “forgotten” people today.Learn more at joshuaproject.net
Pray that the omnipresent Holy Spirit will speak directly to Na hearts, and direct them to follow Christ. Ask the Lord of the harvest to send workers to labor among the Na people. May each Na individual one day follow the ways of the Living and True God instead of the predictions of a shaman. -AK
