“Don’t confuse me with the facts, my mind is already made up!” We chuckle at such reasoning, but the attitude it reflects should cause us to pause and consider our own attitude toward learning new things. Many of us have already been able to achieve our goals or purposes in life. Are we prepared to allow the Lord to jar our comfortable lives with the news of thousands of groups of people who have no church? Are we willing to take the time to study about them, to learn all we can so we can pray and give and send, and to even go directly to one such group with the good news of new life in Jesus Christ?
Father, open our minds and our ears to learn about those who are isolated from the good news. Use this little booklet to stimulate us to action.
(Continued from yesterday)
Having accepted Jesus into my heart I began to live a worthy life. Even so, I still longed to know more about God and how to live as a good believer. I went through many difficulties yet the Lord carried me through.
The missionary who brought me to the Lord then asked me if I would work with his mission. I accepted and did so until the war broke out which took me back to Senegal in 1998. I continued learning the Word of God and later resumed working for the mission. In 1999 I met my wife and was married in 2000. I had been able to do some medical courses and am currently studying at a correspondence Bible school. I continue to learn more and more about my Lord and how I can be closer to Him. We also continue to serve the Lord in the medical field as well as sharing His Word wherever we go, especially among the Mandinka and Fulani peoples.Learn more at joshuaproject.net
Pray that African believers will walk in the Holy Spirit’s power over all demonic depression, oppression, and attacks of every sort, demonstrating that Jesus is truly King of kings and Lord of lords on earth and in heaven.
