Esther 4:14
"For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place"

Esther’s marriage to the king of Persia was God’s way of preserving His people. What would have happened if Esther had taken the easy road and not risked her life on behalf of her people? Mordecai’s answer makes it clear: God will bring about His purposes, whether or not you will allow Him to use you! So it is today: God is working out His purposes throughout the nations, raising up and deposing rulers, exalting the humble and humbling the proud, and ensuring a witness for Himself among all peoples. And He wants to use courageous and faithful Christians to accomplish His will.

Pray today that the Lord will increase your vision and faith so you can better understand how He wants to use you for His global purposes.

-Muslims of Mauritius

Ali stacked goods of various kinds at his stall in the bazaar on the island of Mauritius. He sold everything from coconuts to European watches. Despite the brisk business he did, Ali felt empty inside. Checking his watch, he spread out his prayer rug and bowed in the direction of Mecca. Something was missing and neither money nor Islam could fill the void.

Since 1798, there have been Muslims living in Mauritius. Unlike the Hindus we prayed for yesterday, many of the Muslims did not have to pull themselves up by their bootstraps. Then and now, the Muslims of Arab descent have been merchants and businessmen. Over the years Muslim missionaries won some converts among Mauritians of Indian descent. Though they make much money and have good status, people like Ali do not have the spiritual blessings that only Jesus can offer.

Pray for faithful workers who will reach out to the Muslims of Mauritius. May this people group see that happiness comes not from money or Islam, but from a relationship with Jesus Christ. Ask God to open the hearts of this people to Christ. May Bible verses and dreams and visions pave the way for a spiritual revival among the Muslims of Mauritius.-WK
