Do you have a friend who constantly reminds you of things you already know? Do you find it difficult to respond graciously? Deep inside we, like Peter, all know that we often need reminders of truths we’ve heard before. For example, we know that God is concerned for the salvation of people from every nation (people group) in the world, but we need to be reminded of this priority each day. That is the purpose of the Frontier Fellowship. Many need to pray for the unreached peoples of the world. Do you encourage your friends to pray with you for these peoples?
Dear Lord, how easy it is to be caught up in our own affairs. Forgive us, and open our eyes to see the world as You do.
“And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come” (Matt. 24:14, NIV).
As things stand, this cannot yet happen. There are people groups like the Ban Yao of China’s Yunnan Province that still have no believers to stand before the Lamb of God. The Ban Yao people have a strong tendency to keep to themselves and resist pressure to change, according to Operation China.
Operation China also says, “The Baan Yao are primarily worshipers of nature and the spirits that they believe control it. They believe demons dwell inside large mountains, and the fate of people’s lives is linked to whether or not the spirits are pleased with them. There are no known Christians among the Ban Yao, although about 20 percent are aware of the gospel through the witness of the small number of Hmong and Han believers….”Learn more at joshuaproject.net
Pray that they will be reached by Hmong and Han Chinese believers this very decade. Pray that the Ban Yao people, who make decisions on a community basis, will decide as a group to follow the Lamb. Pray that they will soon have the JESUS Film and a Bible of their own.-KC
