One day all creatures will bow to acknowledge the universal Lordship of Jesus Christ. Scripture teaches that there are two kinds of people who bow to acknowledge Him: those who do so now, in loving submission to His rule in their lives; and those who will do so at Christ’s coming, in fearful and obligatory submission.
Lord Jesus, we will proclaim the gospel of Your Kingdom during this acceptable day of salvation. Lead us to do our part in leading others to bow their knees to you as well.
What is a “Sea Cow”? It is an 8 to 13 foot long, seal-like water animal, the drawing card that brought fishermen to Australia in the early 16th century, filling the needs of a lucrative Chinese food market. These fishermen were Ahmadiyya Muslims from Indonesia, and they settled in to stay. Later Ahmadiyya sect members from Pakistan immigrated to Australia, probably to escape persecution that still haunts them to this day. (As members of an unorthodox sect of Islam, they are often driven out of Muslim countries).
In Australia Ahmadiyya members have made considerable contributions in social, economic and educational pursuits. The 1,500 Ahmadiyyas in Australia have a religious ethic of “work honor” which requires believers to make a worthwhile contribution to the maintenance of the area where they live. At least 400 Australian Ahmadiyyas enthusiastically keep this requirement, which greatly boosts community spirit. Ahmadiyya members are often active in debating biblical Christianity, and few are open to the truth of Christ.

Pray for favor for them among the Ahmadiyyas, and for the Holy Spirit to open minds and hearts to the gospel. Pray that this community will respond to the call of the Holy Spirit, and give their lives to Jesus.-MH
