It is always exciting to get a personal letter from a missionary friend, especially if you have had an important part in his or her ministry. Paul’s letter to the church at Philippi was just such a letter. In it he recognizes their essential contribution to his ministry. The job of world evangelization requires total mobilization of the resources of the Body of Christ-with significant partnership between missionaries and sending churches.

Almost daily Muslim immigrants and refugees continue to filter into New Zealand. Most are either Javanese or Arabs, according to “Operation World.” They are seeking escape from conflicts within their own countries or to further their education and find employment. Census figures show almost a doubling of the Muslim population every five years for the past 25 years. Most are moderates who do not support militant causes. However, some people would say that attitudes within New Zealand has been tainted by media bias linking all Muslims to terrorism. It is well to note that New Zealand’s Muslims now occupy all levels of public and private life.
Thus far Christian witness has been almost non-existent, and few Muslims in New Zealand have even been invited into a believer’s home. Yet small numbers of caring Christians pray and reach out. There is also an increased willingness of Christian denominations to cooperate in developing Muslim outreaches. The Church as a whole needs prayer to take responsibility to share Christ with these Muslims.Learn more at joshuaproject.net
Pray for a great harvest from a project offering a copy of the JESUS Film to every home in New Zealand. Pray that many Muslims will see this film and embrace the One who gave His life to pay for all sins.-MH
