2 Thessalonians 1:3

We ought always to thank God for you, brothers, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love every one of you has for each other is increasing.

The Apostle Paul was deeply thankful for the Thessalonians, especially for their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It certainly brings great blessing and joy after many years on the mission field for a missionary to see his disciples walk in the light they have received. It signifies that the missionary’s labor in the Lord has not been in vain. Such a testimony is also a great blessing to those who first planted the seed, for they recognize that it is God who works to produce lasting fruit.
